Morgan learned a lot during his work experience here at Venture, including how to animate a creepy yet brilliant version of Rasputin...

Coming to the end of my week of work experience at Venture, I look back on the work I've done over the past few days with huge amounts of happiness.

The only negative is that I have to leave so soon.

Even in such a short time here, I feel I have learned a huge amount of new skills. And I've developed some of the skills I already had to the point where I feel the quality of work I can produce has at the very least doubled.

One of the skills I developed at Venture is animation. I already had a simple knowledge of animation, and it was always of extreme interest to me, but I felt I lacked the software and overall know-how to become an animator even on an amateur level.

However, after being shown how to use software like Illustrator and After Effects, I feel I've massively improved on those skills. I now feel much more confident in my abilities and believe I have the potential to produce animation to a much higher standard than I did before. In fact, I know so!

The fact that I was able to develop my skills to such a level in such a small amount of time has left me amazed.

I also had the chance to set up the shoot for an interview involving me and another person on work experience. This gave me hands-on experience with lights and cameras, and knowledge of angles and positioning. The skills I've learned at Venture are going to be extremely helpful not only producing my own work in my own time, but also with my school work.

I even enjoyed the working environment. Everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The teaching and learning experience was engaging, as well as the work being done that I had a chance to get involved with.

Overall, I have hugely enjoyed my time here at Venture. It has massively excelled my expectations of what I thought work experience was. I've learned loads of new skills, how to handle new software and have developed my own understanding.

Really, the only negative I can see is that I have to leave at the end of the week!
